I’m a few days late with this story, but I’ve been busy with another design. And I went to a party. Then I went to another party. Then I had to go grocery shopping, to the gym, blah blah blah.
A woman came to see us at the farmers market last weekend and purchased a shirt for her husband. The shirt she chose is one that hasn’t been officially released at the time I’m writing this, but we had a few on hand that day. The design is a Cafe Racer motorcycle design. What made that particular purchase so special for me is the woman told us the story of how her husband is rebuilding his motorcycle into a cafe racer, and she thought he would really like the shirt. She explained how her husband and his buddy went on an epic ride on their bikes before coming home to tear them apart in preparation for the rebuild.
Not only was it cool to interact with her and hear about the bike project, but it was also great how she chose our shirt as a gift for someone she cares about because it relates to something in their lives. Offering something like that makes me feel like we were able to connect with someone and hopefully provide a smile. That’s exactly what we want to accomplish with these shirts!
