Well, today is the final day of the Saturday Farmers Market in Kamloops for 2015. Amazingly, it’s also the end of our fourth season at the market!
For those folks out there who know me (Kurt) personally, the fact that I’ve put myself out in public like that is remarkable. Four years and counting is downright amazing. I’m more comfortable being medium or middle … not quite behind the scenes, but not dancing happy cartwheels in front of the world. Anyway, Kris and I do quite enjoy being a part of the weekly market. We have met a ton of people and learned a lot.
Wanna know what we’ve learned? Well, out of what is probably a lengthy list of lessons, one very important one is it can get stinkin’ cold during early spring and late autumn markets. Not that it’s extremely cold, but it can be very uncomfortable while standing outdoors with very little physical movement. So after almost four years of teeth-chattering discomfort, we decided to upgrade our HVAC system and buy a propane heater! Meet our Little Buddy …
Above: Indeed, here is our new Little Buddy. It claims 5.5 hours of continuous heat, which is a beauty because our market sessions are exactly that. The little propane tanks make this unit very portable.

Also, you can apparently show your dog how to tie some flies, spend some quality time with your favourite rifle, or awkwardly hold a fish while contemplating life. Works best for selling T-Shirts in cool weather!

Finally, I’d like to say thanks to all of our market customers of 2015. That said, Crock of Shirt shirts are always available online at www.crockofshirt.com or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also planning on setting up tent (without Little Buddy) at the indoor market at SaHali mall in Kamloops on December 12th and 19th, so keep us in mind for gift ideas.
